The Yorkshire Vintage Association
The Pennine Group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club was formed by a group of enthusiasts in the early 1970's with meetings being held in the Huddersfield Area. There are still a few founder members among today's membership.Group Membership is around 90 with some 50 attending meetings.
Members come from an area bounded by Bradford in the North, Doncaster in the South, Selby in the East and Huddersfield/Halifax in the West. The interest of members varies over a wide range of mechanical devices, namely Stationary Engines and Barn Machinery, Vintage Tractors and Farm Machinery, Vintage Tractor Ploughing, Cars, Motor Cycles and Commercial Vehicles
There have been many rallies in the past, notably at Top Farm, West Hardwick, Wakefield and in recent years Elmsall Lodge Farm, Badsworth, Pontefract. These latter rallies have incorporated a Ploughing Match.
This year's event was on Sunday 10th September at Elmsall Lodge Farm, Badsworth on the A638

Meetings are held at Ackworth on the third Thursday of each month and there is a full programme of speakers and events, The December meeting is a social event involving wives and friends with entertainment and supper provided.
